Jim to colleagues and friends, Mr. Caro received his degree in Development Communications including some postgraduate training from the University of the Philippines Los Baños. He was one of the recipients of the 2004 Australian Development Scholarship in the Philippines and received his Master of Social Change and Development from the University of Newcastle.

He has worked with various developmental organizations including private firms and individuals in the Philippines and Thailand. He was a freelance journalist, university researcher associate/assistant and communications officer/specialist.

His specialization include information materials development and evaluation; communication needs assessment and evaluation; communication management; animal health communication; and, social change and development.
